1. Prices and purchase agreement

1.1 All offers presented on the website of V.O.F. Akomo Kids (hereinafter referred to as Akomo Kids) are non-binding, until a purchase agreement has been concluded.

1.2 The purchase agreement between Akomo Kids and the customer is established as follows:
– the customer places an order on the website of Akomo Kids by putting items in the shopping cart and fulfilled the terms and conditions set.
– the customer then makes a choice to pay with iDEAL or another transaction system or by own bank transfer, and clicks on the button ’Confirm’.
– the confirmation that the order has been placed succesfully appears on the screen. A confirmation of the order and an invoice are subsequently sent to the email address stated by the customer.

1.3 If the details on the order confirmation are incorrect or the customer wants to change the order, an email (with delivery status notification) needs to be sent within 24 hours to info@akomokids.com.

2. Delivery, prices and transport

2.1 All prices for the offered items are based on delivery through the entire Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Austria, and include VAT.

2.2 The risk of loss and/or damage to products will be borne by Akomo Kids until the time of delivery to the Consumer. The risk of a any return shipment for the items is on the account of the customer. Also the costs of a return shipment is on the account of the customer.

2.3 The items are generally delivered from stock and can mostly be delivered within 2 working days to the customer. Akomo Kids is not accountable for any damage whatsoever as a consequence of exceeding this or the indicated time of delivery mentioned with the product.

2.4 The customer needs to notify Akomo Kids within 2 working days upon receiving items that have not been ordered.

3. Payment conditions

3.1 A down payment is not necessarily applicable when placing an order. Orders need to be paid no later than on delivery/before shipment.

3.2 Our items can be paid in several ways:
– The customer pays the amount on the invoice by also mentioning the invoice number through a bank transfer.
– The customer pays, if desired, with iDEAL or another payment system upon placing an order.

4. Delivery times

4.1 The mentioned delivery times are an indication, and commence at the moment Akomo Kids receives the order from the customer.

4.2 In case the agreed delivery time is exceeded by Akomo Kids for whichever reason, Akomo Kids will immediately notify the customer.

5. Damage during transport

5.1 In case an item arrives damaged to the customer, he/she needs to inform Akomo Kids without any delay within 2 days. An appointment is subsequently made with the customer to retrieve the item. Within 7 days after returning the damaged item the customer will receive a newly dispatched unit.

6. Reflection period and right of withdrawal

6.1 The customer is authorised to dissolve the purchase agreement with Akomo Kids within 30 days after delivery without any statement of reasons. The customer has to notify Akomo Kids in writing (through letter or email) within the abovementioned time period, and needs to return the concerned order to Akomo Kids. The return address is:

The total amount of the items will be reimbursed on the (bank) account of the customer by Akomo Kids within 10 working days after receiving the return shipment. The shipping costs of the return shipment are on the account of the customer, as is the risk of the return shipment.

6.2 Akomo Kids reserves the right to refuse any return shipments or to not credit the full amount, in case of conjecture that the item has been utilised or has been damaged by the customer.

6.3 Personalised or customised items made upon request of the customer are excluded from the right of withdrawal.

7. Warranty and complaints procedure

7.1 Akomo Kids strives to deliver products of durable quality, with reference to both the wood and the finish. In case the customer is of the opinion that the delivered items do not meet their quality expectations, the customer needs to notify Akomo Kids about this within 2 days after receival in writing (through letter or email), after which the complaint will be taken into consideration.

7.2 Warranties issued by manufacturers are fully implemented by Akomo Kids as supplier.

8. Privacy

8.1 Personal details submitted by the customer become part of the customer files and are treated confidentially. Akomo Kids uses the customer files to make sure the delivery will be as quick and easy as possible and to inform the customer in the future. Furthermore Akomo Kids will solely use personal details with the customer’s consent.

8.2 Akomo Kids will not sell any personal details to third parties, and will only make these available to any third party for as far as they are involved in delivering your order.

9. Applicability of laws and authorised judiciary

9.1 Only Dutch law applies to agreements between Akomo Kids and the consumer to which these general terms and conditions apply. Even if the consumer lives abroad. All disputes between parties will exclusively be submitted to the authorised judiciary in the Netherlands.
