It all started with the hanging baby cot that Stig Leander designed when his sister-in-law was pregnant. It became an almost floating construction from one point. Of course, the baby had to be safe, but also be able to participate in the world around him or her. It was a huge success and the beginning of Leander.

Leander is a Danish design company that is specialized in furniture for kids. Their story began in 1998 when owner Stig Leander founded his company in Silkeborg.

It all started with the cradle that Stig designed for his sister-in-law. Her baby had to be able to lay in there safely and be able to see what is going on around them. The floating cradle became a great success, also for Stig’s own company, that currently delivers furniture in over 40 countries.

The cover is made from soft, durable high-quality cotton and features a waterproof inner coating that prevents fluids from leaking into the fabric and down into the pad. The cover also features a zipper and can be washed on 40 degrees Celsius in the washing machine. You can also purchase the handy drawer to add extra storage space for all your little stuff.
