Bermbach Handcrafted stands for sustainable, hand-woven rattan cradles and cribs that combine nostalgic charm with modern design. The collection was born out of the personal desire of the founders Alexander and his wife: to create a cradle like in the old days – light, aesthetic, and natural. “Some things are just waiting to be rediscovered.” And that’s exactly what Bermbach does: revive traditional craftsmanship.

From idea to timeless design classic

When the Bermbach couple couldn’t find a suitable cradle, they designed their own handmade rattan cradle. In doing so, they not only fulfilled their own wish, but also that of many parents who are looking for sustainable children’s furniture made from natural materials instead of mass-produced items.

Sustainability down to the last detail

The furniture is made in Indonesia – in workshops that reinterpret traditional rattan craftsmanship in a modern way. The rattan used comes from healthy rainforests and is an environmentally friendly alternative to wood. The joints are made of vegetable-tanned leather with oak extract, and the mattresses are manufactured in Germany from certified organic materials – free of harmful substances and plastic.
