The family-owned company, which is based in Berlin, Germany is characterised by a safe and classic retro design. Banwood’s core values lie in safety, high quality and timeless design. The founders Juan Manuel Torralvo Castro and Frida Jonsby met in Germany, the home of quality and safeness, where they discovered that Frida’s eye for design and Juan’s family history of manufacturing made a great match.

In every phase of production – from designing and manufacturing, to delivery – they pay close attention to the smallest of details required to create a great bike experience. Each of the bikes are tested rigorously to fulfil the strictest safety and quality standards, as well as Banwood’s high expectations.

Retro Design back on the road

The retro balance bike design can be described in three words: simplicity, minimalism and functionality. A contemporary design, influenced by Scandinavian design.

All bikes are produced using durable high-end materials. The frame is made of steel and the handlebar of aluminium. The saddle and grips are made of high end faux leather, a material suitable for all round weathers and easy to wipe off.
